Intermezzo at Luosto or Suomu

An ideal tonic for those post-Christmas blues could well be a three night adventure holiday in Lapland. Filling the gap between Christmas and the New Year, one still retains a true festive spirit whilst enjoying some of the most unusual activities possible. Here one has the opportunity to participate in winter thrills without the spills. Imagine driving a motorised skidoo and testing your driving techniques in an Arctic Challenge. Then it's back to nature enjoying the thrills of a ride with a husky team and rides with reindeer. Yet, when the day ends, one can retire to wonderful log cabins, which in our opinion are amongst the very best in the North of Finland. If you and your family are lured by the call of the wilds, and wish to experience the life of the average arctic explorer, yet fall back each evening in a comfortable bed, this is the tour for you.

27 December:

Following your arrival in Lapland you will be transferred to Luosto or Suomu, where you will be accommodated in your log cabin or hotel. Overgarments and boots will be allocated followed by evening dinner.

28 December:

A relaxed start to the day with breakfast. You then depart for a day of adventure to enjoy reindeers, huskies and snowmobiles at various locations. Lunch will be taken at an outside venue. This evening, enjoy a meal recounting the day’s experiences to your newfound friends.

29 December:

A day of further adventure at an outside location involving a full programme of reindeers, huskies and snowmobiles, with challenges undertaken in accordance with the level of ability shown. Once again lunch will be taken in this outside setting. This evening, enjoy a farewell dinner.

30 December:

A choice of activities is offered for your final morning. In Luosto, join in our mini snow games. Try your hand at our tug of war competition, go ice skating to musical accompaniment, enjoy the pleasures of tobogganing, or relax and enjoy the resort facilities.

Lunch will be taken in your chosen resort and there will be the opportunity to buy some souvenirs of Lapland before transferring back for your return flight to the United Kingdom.

Free Special Souvenirs
On leaving Lapland you will receive a selection of souvenir licences to commemorate your visit to Lapland. These will include an Arctic Circle crossing certificate and licences covering you activities with reindeers, huskies and snowmobiles.
