Enchanting Lapland

A magical one day visit to a remote location, reached by a snowmobile and
sleigh transfer direct from Enontekio Airport awaits you. As with our other
Lapland Tours emphasis is placed on making your day special. Where
possible we use aircraft equipped with on board video entertainment
systems and subject to airline and crew co-operation there may be a
traditional Christmas Sing a Long. Breakfast will be served during your
arrival flight.
Our destination today is Enontekio a small airport to the North of Lapland . Following our arrival we are equipped with the loan of warm overclothing and boots in an airport building before departing by snowmobile and sleigh direct from the airport in search of that elusive gentleman Santa Claus. Such a unique method of departing from your arrival airport. Do look out during this arrival transfer to see if an elf or even Santa you might
espy during your journey.
There is the opportunity to appreciate the silence broken only by the sound of the snowmobile as one proceeds to our location for the day, a traditional style large cabin on a frozen lake shore. Following arrival at this idyllic venue one may relax and enjoy a full spectrum of activities sure to amaze and engage your party in the enjoyment of this our Winter Wonderland. Here it will be possible to participate in husky and reindeer rides, to drive both adults and children's snowmobiles and of course to enjoy the wonders of a horse sleigh ride through our beautiful landscape. At this location special toboggans known as Stigas are used, these provide a better steering ability and make for a more interesting ride on the specially built toboggan course. It is often the simple activities that bring most joy to our children and past experience has shown that tobogganing continues to be a very popular activity. But where is Santa Claus? For sure we know he is in the area and never disappoints children who travel so far to visit him in his homeland.
Therefore you have the pleasure of an individual family visit to look forward to during which Santa will be pleased to receive your children's letters appertaining to the forthcoming Christmastide and provide them with appropriate gifts.
Feeling hungry? Lunch is available in the cabin restaurant throughout the day. Although simple in nature by dint of the location it will taste very special indeed. Enjoy baked potatoes with meat or vegetarian fillings, pasta, hot soups and tempting pancakes and jam as dessert as a sample menu. Sadly there comes a time when Santa must be left to continue with his duties for the forthcoming Christmas Eve and we must return to Enontekio airport (this time by coach) from whence we fly back to the UK.
A selection of souvenirs typical of Lapland will be available at the airport for those interested in securing a special memory of their visit. Dinner will be served during your return flight.
