Sky Hotel, Rovaniemi

The slope-side Sky Hotel is the perfect choice for families who want to spend as much time out on the snow as possible. The chair-lift arrives in front of the hotel for the ultimate easy access to the floodlit slopes and the toboggan runs are just a short walk from the door.

The roof-terrace is a favourite spot for night-time star-gazing in search of the awe-inspiring Northern Lights – thermal suits are a must and the restaurant is one of the top 20 in the whole of Finland. Its Lapp specialities and international cuisine are hard to beat, complemented by wonderful views of the wooded slopes through the restaurant’s panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows.

The resort centre is about 8 minutes taxi-ride from the Sky Hotel, and the Leisure Centre's pool, tennis, sauna and steam-rooms are about 8 minutes downhill walk (800m).

Type B Family Bedrooms, sleeping 2-3 – tree single beds

Type C Family Suites, sleeping 3-4 – twin beds and double sofa bed

Type D Family Suites, sleeping 4-5 – twin bedroom and separate lounge with double and single sofa-beds, suitable for 3 children or 1 adult + 1 child

Type E Family Cabins, sleeping 5-7 - traditional semi-datached wooden cabins in the hotel grounds with three separate sleeping areas. On the ground floor is one twin bedroom, separate lounge with dobule sofa-bed, dining table, chairs, fireplace, TV and kitchenette. Stairs lead to a mezzanine loft area with one single bed, under the eaves and overlooking the lounge. Off the mezzanine is a futrher twin room with sloping ceiling. The shower/wc/sauna room is off the hallway.

Type F Family Cabins, sleeping 5-7 - newer version of Type E with an extra shower room/wc off the loft area (1-5 minutes easy walk from hotel)
